Realization

I guess I deserve to loose your trust 
I found a part of me 
That I disgust 
So caught up in myself 
That I lost sight 
Of what's real, what's not 
What's true, what's right 
I apologize for all the times I lied 
I realize now that in friendship 
There's nothing to hide 
I've made more than my share 
Of mistakes. But I never realized 
You were at stake 

I didn't know the cost. 
Regaining what was lost.
