The Scourger

The Oath & The Lie

The Scourger

Cleave my tongue, I will not speak
Dare not release, the secret I embrace
Close my eyes, I can not look
Don't want to see, the sin I contain

Prophet speaks to me, about absolution
I'm not asking, I'm feeling, share your wisdom now
When the oath was broken, it became a lie
A flag of the deceiver is raised as a warning
For all to see...

Seize my breath, utter no words
I shall be mute, in my agony
Speak no evil, abolish my pain
Bury me alive, in hallowed soil
Why I twist the truth you shall not know
Hypocrisy is my servant and arrogance is my name
Heal my wounds, I will not bleed dry
No more scars, to mark my soul
Silence my voice, for ever more
Never trust me again, with secrets so sacred
