Sugar Glyder

Slowly sideways bound, does it even make a difference,
In a kaleidoscope of eyes, can a moment cut the distance of resistance.

Taking down your pictures of the old man and the sea
You're picking up the pieces of someone else's dream
All that work for nothing when your best is not enough
Who will be the one to fall when push comes to shove?

We bring each other down, just to meet back at the bottom
I wish these dreams were white, it wouldn't hurt my eyes to see them
Or to be them

All they are is building you up, and this world is taking you down
