Pass The Udder Udder

Stan Freberg

Tom: G

       G                              C
Oh, we grow things mighty big down in Kentucky
            D                                  G
But there's nothing in that state can quite compare
     G                                C
To a cow that we once had us, and the name of her was Gladys.
         D                                        G
Boy, you should have seen the neighbors stand and stare

[Verse 2]
          G                               C
She stood 10 feet tall and had one purple eyeball
        D                                G
It took eight of us to milk her, here is why:
        G                   C
She had 27 spigots; And the tourists all bought tickets,
        D                                G
just to watch us milk and hear us loudly cry-y-y-y...

[Chorus]
    G                         C
Oh, pass the udder udder over to my udder brudder,
        G                   D
and pie-ass the udder udder dis-a-way
        G                             C
So they passed the udder udder, and I passed it to my brudder.
       D                         G
Oh, we really had our hands full every day

[Verse 3]
    G C
We created quite a spectacle, I'll grant you
       D G
But we milked her just as pretty as you please
          G
And while people said "How funny,"
         C D G
we raked in enough durn money to go out and order ermine BVD's

[Verse 4]
        G C
Father turned her on her back one Sunday morning.
       D G
Gladys said "I'm upside down, now what's the gag?"
           G C
"Well, the reason why," said Pop "is so the cream will be on top."
       D G
Gladys said, "well in that case, it's in the bag!"

[Chorus]
    G C
Oh, pass the udder udder over to my udder brudder,
        G D
and pie-ass the udder udder dis-a-way
        G C
So they passed the udder udder, and I passed it to my brudder.
       D G
Oh, we really had our hands full every day

[Verse 5]
        G C
Now our Gladys was a star in cattle circles
           D G
Though she couldn't read or write her name in full
          G
You would think she'd been to college,
         C
although she herself acknowledged,
         D G
that she gained her fame entirely by pull.

[Verse 6]
G C
Oh she said to us one cold and wintry morning
           D G
She said, "Milking is the thing I dearly loves".
           G C
But when I get a cold it lingers, and I can't stand icy fingers
       D G
So go back into the house and get your gloves!"

[Chorus]
    G C
Oh, pass the udder udder over to my udder brudder,
        G D
and pie-ass the udder udder dis-a-way
        G C
So they passed the udder udder, and I passed it to my brudder.
       D G D G G G G G G G G
Oh, we really had our hands full ev ery day shave and a haircut rhythm
