Save Our Souls

It could be days, or weeks, until i fall asleep
Will i dream about the memories, of you and me
I'm missing all those times, it's strange but
I think about that fight, when you were mad at me, and made me leave
And i stood outside all night
In the pouring rain
Can't remember all the things we said, looking back, it dawned on me
How could i be so naive, i'd do anything to be with you again
There's so much to hate, for me, i'm afraid of getting beat
By the someone that i can't recognize, someone in disguise
Who wants to take my life, there's pain here
And too much suffering, i see the children play, in their poverty
And i look up and ask god,
Is this all in vain
Should i care what kind of all they live, with so much indecision
The only thing that's certain is i'd do anything to be with you again
Fire!
No politics, no policy, can alter the experience,
Of life or death, you've given me
A final wish, for little pain, will i see your face again, or hear your name
Now i am the enemy, i'm the machine,
Blood stains on my fingertips, this sign of death,
This price of peace, i must live, i must defeat,
Your face is the only thing, keeping me alive... here
Can't remember all the things we said
If i kill everything, maybe they'll let me leave here
I'd do anything, to be with you again.
