Promethean

Promethean

Forgive me sister for I've sinned
now you must make pay
hurt me well, hard as hell,
so that I will be purified

Come and conquer my heart
with your voice and your laughter
Even though you don't care
this should happen much faster

The eclipse of my soul,
my soul is very old
old as time, cold as ice
and covered with bitter scars

The old man sang
and the crowd burst in tears
would that happen to me
I'll reveal you my fears

In my hour of pain
there was no-one around
not a friend, not a foe,
but now I'm back for good

They say that I'm cold
and I do plead guilty
But you can not blame me
you don't know what I've been through.
