Light Of My Vision

Phil Keaggy

Walking on fast without changing my rhythm,
I'm moving on into the light of my vision.
Full of the sense of what lies beyond legend,
I'll take the high road in the light of my vision.

Though the way it turns but with countless illusions,
Keep looking on in the midst of confusion
Gathering tales of retreat come to haunt me
I'll carry on though a thousand may taunt me.

There are many hills lying on very lonely
Clouds round about as you notice me only
Living laughing soul is the one you possess here
And it may seem you're alone, lost and left here.

Though the ninety-nine are safe in the pasture,
He'll seek you out and He'll carry you back there.
Shepherd of the sheep and a caring physician,
Opening the eyes to the light of the vision.

Like a pilgrim's progress you nor I have
The will to live or the faith to die.
Apart from Heaven's helping hand
We can know the way into that land.

Though the way it turns but with countless illusions,
Keep looking on in the midst of confusion
Gathering tales of retreat come to haunt me
I'll carry on though a thousand may taunt me.
Carry on, carry on.

Though the ninety-nine are safe in the pasture,
He'll seek you out and He'll carry you back there.
Shepherd of the sheep and a caring physician,
Opening the eyes to the light of the vision.

Walking on fast without changing my rhythm,
I'm moving on into the light of my vision.
Full of the sense of what lies beyond legend,
I'll take the high road in the light of my vision.

Though the eyes grow dim with the years yet unfolding,
There is a window through which I'm beholding
A splendor, no matter would be my condition,
I'm seeing home in the light of my vision.
