He came to me as a ghost From my mind with vague words Like "trees and crosses" "flesh will grow" I didn't know what this meant to me He then vanished like a flame in the wind I searched for answers from my mind I traveled from this world to four others And found nothing but muted cities These cities were timeless, quiet and resembled The ghost who came to me A burden crept upon my shoulders Because this ghost put a blanket of silence On these cities in order to speak to me I broke the veil Everyone remembered time Everyone began to preach those vague words Sections of these people hung themselves On trees and crosses As more and more of them spoke The deaths would outgrow the surface of the land
