I dwell amongst the crypts of death
Sunlight forsakes my castle
Can't measure time nor how I look
See the world through molded books
To walk among the living
To scale the tower and glimpse the sky
A final chance at life or let me die

Scaling rock
Ascending stone
I see the door to human sound
Entrance to earth
I now emerge from under the solid ground

Wretched am I
Call me the stranger
Bearing this lot to serve the gloom
Call me the one
I am the outsider
Is this a blessing of fated doom

Braving through the black of night
The fruits of yearning bewitch me
A window burns light from its sill
Revelers aloud with good will
My entrance saw fear, despair
Eyes escaping some nightmare
I tremble at the thought of what lurks near

A doorway arch
A similar room
The ghoulish decay awaits
A voiceless beast
Bone chilling stare
Will death be the final fate

Fending off what I saw
Outstretched hands meet outstretched claws
Now I know this rotting brute
I must now accept the truth
I am the stranger to gods and to man
Fated to never be seen again
Abomination to the social class
When my outstretched hands touched polished glass
