Kid Foguete

Lifeless Rock

Kid Foguete

Where I see nature
She sees biology
She doesn’t believe in magic tricks

Point at the moon in the sky
We landed in 1969
Great steps for the humanity

She says my heart is just a muscle
And what I feel, jus chemistry
Running inside my veins
Pumped up into my brains
Explosions of serotonin, explosions inside me

Oh girl, you are so rational
Despite of all my poetry
A dozen phrases, cut off in pieces
That I declaim rhythmically

Whenever she gets close to me, whenever she gets close

Where I see nature
She sees complexity
The hand is quicker than the eye

Point at the moon in the sky
A lifeless rock reflecting light
There's nothing there that concerns me

She says my heart is just a muscle
And what I feel, jus chemistry
Running inside my veins
Pumped up into my brains
Explosions of serotonin, explosions inside me

Oh girl, you are so rational
Despite of all my poetry
A dozen phrases, cut off in pieces
That I declaim rhythmically

Whenever she gets close to me, whenever she gets close
