China had no rivers
All depended on the rain
To grow their crops
Then one day
A terrible drought
Hit the land
People suffered and starved
Four Dragons decided
To help the people
They took water from the sea
Sprayed it into the sky
It fell as a rain
And saved the crops
God of the sea
Furious with the four
They took the water
Without permission
Angry sea god
Told the emperor
Emperor punished dragons
Imprisoned under four mountains
Dragons still raged on
To help the people
They turned themselves
Into four rivers
Keep bringing water
To their beloved people
China has received
Its four great rivers
Black, Long, Pearl and Yellow
