Don't Follow Me

Juniper Lane

The fight of head and heart always ends in a draw
Love and logic separately they are both flawed
I wish I had the answers written on my hand
Then all the questions would seem obvious and planned

Don't follow me up here
I'm asking
Can hardly even steer myself

But I can't get out now at the top of the track
I'd fall down long before I could even start back
So I'll cling to the rail but I won't let you follow
'Cause I don't know where I'm going

When the track you're on it seems is at an end
In the middle and there's still no sign of bending
Stay the course 'cause going back will be no faster
It's the trip that you just took, only backwards
