Daydream in Color

Jodie Manross

I love the feel of this song-it was one of the easiest
songs for me to write because it just flows. I love writing
about light, color and ideas of home.

I've got unrequited dreams of an unrequited love
I've got longings I'll keep until the real thing comes along
I've got dreams that I hope will come my way
but whatever may come
I know that I can say
I'll keep trying
I'll keep trying

Wherever home begins
I know you're in it
Have a steady joy
I think we'd build it
Sometimes going milestones
sometimes just miles
But I know we'll get there
May take awhile

Chorus:
Unrequited dreams of an unrequited love
I've got longings I'll keep until the real thing comes along
I've got dreams that I hope will come my way
but whatever may come
I know that I can say I'll keep trying
I'll keep trying

I remember how the sun set
on that cold December
even if the days get warmer
they won't glow like that one
A setting so real,
I can see the scenes clearer
A backdrop for all my dreams
Many years later

Bridge:
Daydream in color
Laughter drifting
Life feels easy
(repeat three more times)

Chorus:
Unrequited dreams of an unrequited love
I've got longings I'll keep until the real thing comes along
I've got dreams that I hope will come my way
but whatever may come
I know that I can say I'll keep trying
I'll keep trying (repeat)
