Late Night Store

Husky

I’m chasing visions lately
Bent at some stiff neck party
I’m feeding ducks in a pond

I don’t know anyone here
Seagulls or sharks I don’t care
I take a dive and I’m gone

Dancing in the car park headlights on
Trying to take off but the gravity’s strong

Walking these streets all over the place
Trying to crack up with a little bit of grace
I’m spitting up dreams

I gave my money to the late night store
I left my shirt outside your door
I walked all night and I talked to you
And I never looked up and I never got through

When I move with the wind and the stars
I feel you next to me

The soft machinery of your heart
I feel you next to me

I’m at my 16th dive bar
But these strangers look familiar
Maybe I’ve been here before

My head says don’t be crazy
But I’m looking for something risky
I’m breaking waves like the shore

We’re dancing in the carpark headlights on
Trying to take off but the gravity’s too strong

I don’t wanna live like a runner
