So I chased myself up a tree There was no one there before me I hung on hours before I fell asleep Some dogs around the neighborhood Became so incensed with me 'Cause they can't get to me Where I am ladders wait to see Ladders wait to see what I need Nothing that they got interests me Somedays ahead that there's no reasoning Things that have plagued others Are now happening to me And they can get to me Where I am ladders climb the tree Ladders line the branches of the trees Waiting for their chances to get at me I think this has to be seen to believe Nothing I can offer will convince them all to leave
