I was standing in line at a checkout store on an afternoon so bright in front of me was a lady in line my emotions froze at the site she had been maimed by a tragedy one I know I could not have survived she was buying clothes for her daughter I'm sure her daughter kept her alive I didn't sense any bitterness a shock and a total suprise she kept smiling at her daughter and everybody in line she looked at me and smiled completely stripped of pride the beauty of her soul cast a loving glow making her beautiful guilt and shock overcame me as everyone stopped and just stared how could she give so much love to the world how indeed could she have cared she looked at me and smiled completely stripped of pride the beauty of her soul cast a loving glow making her beautiful someday I hope to meet that lady in line to thank her for what I have learned that beauty is not for a mirror it's eternal in you and I
