Dark Heresy

The Ceremony

Dark Heresy

Born and raised an oblate girl in God's green gem isle
Can't but help betray her thoughts (her clandestine smile)
Just a blushing rose entwined, cheeks a scarlet hue
Knows there's something church-condemned (what she aims to do)
Leaves are parted by her hand untaught in lovers' ways
Virgin's eyes gaze at the stone (infantile daze)

A trembling in her limbs, itch between her thights
Journey here her dark secret, trees are her disguise
Deiseil sið around the stone, path so clear before her
Bride of Jesus, God's cumal, her lord a mirrored cur

She might ride the dark green wave, foam around her legs
Drink lust's wine to quench her thirst, drain it to the dregs
Withered blossoms on the ground, blooms newly appeared
The Moon between the boughts above snow-pure eyes has seared
Blinded by its silver rays, aroused by her own sight
She climbs atop the pedestal to enact the ancient rite

The white and black that hides her grace away from others' eyes
She does not wear it with despair, her finger satisfy

Some semi-conscious impulse made her haunt the wood
Where shadow enshrined the stone
Having kissed the grey image with devout passion
She performed there all the antique immemorial rite

The light of Jesus bathes her, the blood of kings flow through her mind
She knows the lamb will save her and all her faithful kind
