Dark Flood

Stellar Rains

Dark Flood

No law has restrained my desires
The pyre of souvenirs’ perpetual flame
But to the halt I’ve been shambled
And the years gained on my pace
The rime on my heels had driven

They sculpted proofs for life
Nailed the firmament anew for me
Built this spectacle of passing
To where this graveled road ended
Static in their eyes and smiles

Lent for the soul
For I felt lavished freedom
Lash for the flesh
For I cried for another fall

And at the feet of coronated savior
Rattled by his colossal hands
Reverse all moments of my terrestrial times
Snuggled in shroud of white

I could repent, yet in my hindsight
I truly would but in my past life

Yes

I always could, yet in my hindsight
I truly would but in my past life

Hear me speak for the last time
And the white I wear is begrimed
Say my name for the last time
The white I wear is begrimed

And for the brethren this ashen earth has swallowed
Into solitude of sleep everlong
I would grant the highest of headstones
In the most verdant hill
The stellar rains will ever spring
