The Raven And The Dove

Cody Jinks

I have prayed for wisdom, now I pray for peace
It seems the more I know now, the less that I can sleep
Stay imprisoned in my conscience, trying to figure what it means
To be caught between a nightmare and the sweetest of dreams

Some days a raven, some days a dove
Some days the dark cloud hanging round
Others from the light above
I'm scuffed by the devil, but I'm washed up in the blood
Some days a raven, some days a dove

You may question how I'm living, it might scare you half to death
I've been forgive for my sinning, Lord knows I ain't through sinning yet
I get my singing from my mama, I get the fight from my old man
I don't always know where I'm going, but I know exactly what I am

Some days a raven, some days a dove
Some days the dark cloud hanging round
Others from the light above
I'm scuffed by the devil, but I'm washed up in the blood
Some days a raven, some days a dove

Some days a raven, some days a dove
Some days the dark cloud hanging round
Others from the light above
I'm scuffed by the devil, but I'm washed up in the blood
Some days a raven, some days a dove
Some days a raven, some days a dove
