The change in seasons wrought changes within us Men walked about the land in hubris We took without thought We spoke without wisdom We thought without reason We lived without thanksgiving And those spirits Whom Nature had asked to watch over us Wept with shame and despair at our actions The fairies, elves and all other angelic forces They all faded into distant memory. Back into myth and lore. They knew there was no reminding us We'd forgotten where we came from We'd forgotten our true mother We'd even forgotten the splendor of dawn
