All Hallow's Evil

Not Where You Belong

All Hallow's Evil

"This is not where I belong," she said
the smell of sulphur in the air
"Something else is here," she thought
The cold touch of death
and damnation's piercing stare

All is lost where the seraph fell
a minor set back or a personal Hell?

She dug a grave in the swampy ground
Said her prayers and then laid down

I hope I die before the morning comes
I would never want to face what I've done

And then she prayed that the rising sun
would not reveal what she'd become
This is not where you belong
You never should have come this far
You never should have come here
But here is where you are

No matter how fast you run away
In the end we all have to pay
