Life is Blood Red

Staring into the sun 
Can be temporarily blinding 
Scorched retinas 
Over expodes nerves 
Often times in cities 
Which expand 
Into natural growth 
Eagles and hawks 
May stumble upon a fence post 
Disgusted by the sight 
Of pigeons 
I can hear drums 
Outside the walls 
Of the city 
Getting louder
