Mermaid

you sent me a mermaid in the mail
with holes in the bottle so she could breath
but her water spilled out
mermaids need their water to breath
not just air like you and me
and her water spilled out

you sent me a flower in the mail
in a box that was sealed with a golden seal
and this box was beaten, broken, and worn  

it must have been lost for weeks on end cause i opened it up and the flower was dead
it was from you 
just the same
