Caroline Watches

Trentwood

She's got a lot to give I don't deserve
Hands on the road knees on the kerb
I play along, just like a friend
She holds my hand in her hand
I close my eyes
Breathe in the scent of her skin
Noise goes away
I'll stay a while
And dream away
Caroline watches while I go to play
When I fall down she makes hurt go away
When I'm in pieces at the side of the stage
She holds my hand and tells me it's OK
Now the vision is clearing I feel the pain
Sirens are nearing, storm in my brain
Looking at doll's eyes, lights go out
No belts on her bench seat, it's pre 65
They don't feel like my feet, am I still alive?
Voices come through the glass
What's my name
Caroline watches etc
