Toy Horses

Never even knew that he was there
Now he's gone it's over life is so unfair
And soon they came
Just couldn't keep away
Every day it seemed that there was more
A bunch of tattered cellophane taped to a metal pole
It's still the same
Time to go away

Summer turns to autumn
And still the people come
To see this place a space
that wrapped a mother of her son
Don't tie flowers to a signpost
In a place you'll never know
Place you'll never know

Never even knew that he was there
Now he's gone it's over life is so unfair
And soon they came
Just couldn't keep away

There's better things to do
Than wrap a rose around a post
Remind yourself of kinder times
Of things he loved the most
Don't tie flowers to a signpost
In a place he'll never know
Place he'll never know
Just move on
Just move on
Just move on
