Thy Withering Orchard

Fertile Wounds

Thy Withering Orchard

Roaming amidst the weeping willows
Where I share their grief
Remembering a time long forgotten
When the trees were covered in mist

I hear the dreadful cries
Of those having once reigned
Forever to be entombed
In an infinite rain of tears

Dismember my soul

Alone I stand above the abyss
Eternal peril and finally bliss
In fear and loathing I gaze

The knell consoles and comforts
A life deplored

Acknowledge the stench
Of self-inflicted wounds
Render your life... to me

Alone I stand upon the abyss
Eternal peril and finally bliss
In fear and loathing I gaze upon the earth
With perishing devotion to the bearer of life
Whisper languish and wither
Smother
Repent

A purpose unveiled
Salvation is imminent
Concealed in tired Earth
