The GoStation

Not Enough

The GoStation

digging in my deck of dreams
for the ones that i can't let go
when it all comes apart at the seams
i fill the cracks until they just don't show

but you can find me on the way back down
collecting pieces from the dusty ground

there's not enough time for the plans that we make
and the people we cling to just keep drifting away
there are not enough words for the things we should say
and it's taking me over

standing on an open plain
i don't know which direction is right
and when i find that we're caught in the rain
it's such a struggle just to keep up the fight

but you can find me in my rusty crown
holding court upon the muddy ground

there's not enough time for the plans that we make
and the people we cling to just keep drifting away
there are not enough words for the things we should say
and it's taking me over
i can't find another way

now i can look back at everything that i've done
and i can reach for tomorrow today
but i can't keep track of where it all comes undone
there's no blame, all the same it's a shame

there's not enough time for the plans that we make
and the people we cling to just keep drifting away
there are not enough words for the things we should say
and it's taking me over
i can't find another way
