Creating a world of false illusion
Subconscious paints an unseen scene
Yearning on desires out of reach
Wandering through the valley of deceit
Awareness fills you up with splendorous
Then it crashes down so bittersweet
On a road that leads to nowhere
These perceptions so discrete
A desire for nostalgia, bringing back lost memories
Trying to find whats locked inside
Leads you back to the lesser shades of green
Reconstructing happiness when tomorrow brings the pain
All is gone in the blink of an eye, when reality shows it's face
Embellishing an ugly world with thoughts of purity
It's hard to face what lies ahead when nothing is as it seems
Opaque are these visions, awake and discard what I once knew
Struggling to find the answer, perception lies askew
