Soulless

Earthbound

Soulless

What have we done to the land that we call home?
The seeds are now sown to spawn the life that will end it for us all
We've carved the land in our own creation
A duty better left to those of godly stature
Enveloped in its own selfishness,
Once we consume all other life there will be nothing left
We have nothing left to give to a world that destroys itself
The perfect balance has been weighted
By the inhabitants supposedly most intelligent
Yet they can't even save, their own home.
Society's lust for commodity
Will ultimately resolve in the earth's demise
The earth will be stripped of all its spirit
And we will be trapped in our own prison cell
We have nothing left to give to a world that destroys itself
The perfect balance has been destroyed
The human race is the odd one here
Rooted to the ground there is no escape from our mistake
For we are all earthbound
Rooted to the ground for we are earthbound.
