Silent Threnody

Dime Violin

Silent Threnody

Back in time, fortunate child
All she lost, more received
Broken cradle, shattered home
Gave her cold lifelore
In new home, takes time
for the sake of being alone

And she played dime violin all night
Her cry accompanied
The music in touch of the moonlight
Reason to go on

Dreams remind, she was so poor
As if life expected more
When her father passed away
She was given his old violin
That is all she holds
with the mem'ries of child

And she played dime violin all night
Her cry accompanied
The music in touch of the moonlight
Reason to go on

"Let me go, too much you are trying to give
chain me for eternity
Now I'll go to see if my life ain't but hell
For it could not get worse"

And she played dime violin all night
Her cry accompanied
The music in touch of the moonlight
Reason to go on
