Dying I fly
The moment of death still in my eye
My heartbeat pounding louder
Gone now the pain
Falling the autumn rain
On stiffening limbs
Into the stars out of the light
Adrift in the cold eternal
The heavens are dark below me
In the hall of the Gods
I have witnessed THE FAILURE of God
- or - did He ever exist?
Life in itself is cold enough
To prove the absense of matter

Sucked down into the _mud_
Drowned in earth's blood
Into the stars out of the light
Adrift in the cold eternal
The heavens are dark below me
Souls fall like snow this winter's night
