One drink and I'm settled
One thinks that I should be settled
One thinks that I'm steady but I'm not , no I'm not
Well this one time I can help you, one time only mind you
And then it's a case of how long it takes to forget my face

I hear you promising to be the one when it's obvious I don't believe a word

One drink and your settled, two drinks and you know you've mellowed
With that I must tell you why I have been on and off, on and off

Just watching you is giving me a smile to keep
Now I'm waiting for something to believe
Tell me How I am to break the news?...
When you're miles away and you know how you bruise

Once in while you drink with a smile
Be yourself or be someone else because...

Ten drinks and you're finished, ten drinks yeah you know your limit
Prepare yourself to be on your own, yeah alone
Because here comes the same lesson
No time like the present to hate everyone
And yourself more than you've ever done

Break me into little parts to see and you'll find the one that's the real me
