One key aspect to keep the feel of the song is to include the bass lines - from the G chord in the line "..holes in the sky" runs up 3rd fret G (6th string) then fifth string open A - 2nd fret B - 3rd fret C. Important is the "You were caught in the crossfire" part...this has a decending bass line on the fourth string. This is a very simple 2nd fret - 1st fret - open string rundown. Play the bass note just before and after you change chord and to give the decending bass line maximum effect. I play the B7 after the B minor chord as a barre at the second fret as I prefer the voicing but the in the video it is played in the standard open beginner version..try both and play whatever suits you. There are also a few different inversions of the C#dim chord that might work well if you find the one shown to be too awkward to play. ..and yes, for the Floyd fans (like myself), he does change the lyrics in some spots and uses the original "layer upon layer" rather than "pile on many more years" but the floyd sung this version live occasionally.
