Decision

Michael Kobrin

Just wondered if I
Could choose how to die
I’d probably die like a hero
There’d be no fear or pain
When I’d show them the way
That’d be raising all hopes in our minds

Just thought about me
As a musical tree
I’d be changing lives just by singing
I’d like to be stoned
When I write a new song
And to die with some tears in my eyes

While half of my time went away
I’m still counting my mistakes
To throw away my grief
I better decide how to live

Still wondered if I
Could choose how to die
It would probably be on a mountain
The air is so clean
And the grass so green
But a man from the top thinks of jumping

Last night I had this crazy dream
What been built was destroyed as is nothing
I stood on the floor
And I opened the dour
For God’s angels to lend me some wings

While half of my time went away
I’m still counting my mistakes
To throw away my grief
I better decide how to live
I better decide how to live
