Lo Moon

Day Old News

Lo Moon

I'm in a sad gray suit
Dancing the waltz among the pews
When I hear the day old news
Echoing far beyond my wounds

Now the guardians are loose
And the city lights go dim
With the wreckage in view
Where do I begin?

I woke up to look for you
Under iron skies I said I'd wait for you
In the darkness I look for something true
In the darkness I need to turn to you

Here under blood red lights
The stone turns cold the heart is ripe
Now I am too tongue tied
So I swallow the pain it burns deep inside

Heard the day old news
How can I pretend
With the wreckage in view
Here I am lament

I woke up to look for you
Under iron skies I said I'd wait for you
In the darkness I look for something true
In the darkness I need to look to you
