Alcohol And Tears

Kay Adams

So many times I've put a cold towel on your head
I helped you up when you were down and low
I stood by and loved you through all these wasted years
And all you gave me in return was alcohol and tears

Alcohol and tears were our only past time
Alcohol and tears down to our finish line
Our home was just your hobby a place to drink your beer
There wasn't much to celebrate just alcohol and tears
[ steel ]
Just like a thief late at night you'd come sneaking in
Ashamed to face our children or tell me where you'd been
Now you've left us for another but I often wonder dear
If she'll love you like we have through alcohol and tears

Alcohol and tears were our only past time...
There wasn't much to celebrate just alcohol and tears
