It is easiest if you finger pick and use your thumb to
play the first three notes with a downstroke, 
play the fourth note with the middle finger upstroke and
play the last three notes with an index finger upstroke.
During the last 4 notes you can work in alternating bass notes on
the A and/or D strings with your thumb.
