You left for Portland this morning 
I didn't stay to watch your airplane fly away 
I didn't know that I would feel this way 

I drove and listened to nothing 
I never found a song that could quite fit the mood 
I slept alone in the bed I share with you 

And it's amazing just how still this place can be

When you're only in Portland
