Lighthouse

Juliette Irons

I'm walking on thin ice
But I can't break through
Frozen holding on to hope
My hands are turning blue

And I'm stone cold
'Cause I fall too deep
Searching on the ocean floor
For something I can keep
But it all falls through my hands
As time goes by in little grains of sand

It all falls through my hands
Now the wind is blowing me away there's nowhere left to land
I'm looking for a lighthouse
Something I can follow

When the darkness seems to swallow me whole
Lighthouse
The water pulled me under
Now the salt is sinking into my soul
I need a little light to guide me back home

I'm treading through high tide
And I brave the storm
But not even the wildest fire
Could stand to keep me warm
'Cause it's a brain freeze
And I won't let go

As the winter takes me back alone
I've gone so numb I've chilled right to the bone
Now my memories are skipping like a stone
I'm looking for a lighthouse

Something I can follow
When the darkness seems to swallow me whole
Lighthouse
The water pulled me under
Now the salt is sinking into my soul
I need a little light to guide me back home

I'm tripping on dirt roads
I'm out of control
No compass here to point me north
From where I left it all before

The Sun set
And now the night is long
I tried to find a map within the stars
But it had already gone

As there anybody out there who can bring me back?
I'm looking for a lighthouse
Something I can follow
When the darkness seems to swallow me whole

Lighthouse
The water pulled me under
Now the salt is sinking into my soul
I need a little light to guide me back home
