Different Vision

Julien Martinoia

People come, love, then people leave
Here's a truth I needed to tell
?T was time for me to not deceive
I've had to break my shell

No matter how deep the hurt is
No one cares what happens to you
I've sometimes made the wrong choices
All alone, I've pulled through

I used to believe in
Human kindness
I've finally
Regained consciousness

This blinding fog is scattered now
This self-centred world could've killed me
But now that I've stopped looking down
I face adversity

Through every ordeal I have learned
A different vision of the world
I can see the dark side of life
This way I can revive

People come, love, then people hate
Those important ones who matter
I don't forgive, I don't assent
And that makes me stronger

We all deny our guiltiness
Buried in deep hypocrisy
We do congratulate ourselves
On being so friendly

My beliefs have vanished
Into thin air
Forever

This blinding fog is scattered now
This self-centred world could've killed me
But now that I've stopped looking down
I face adversity

Through every ordeal I have learned
A different vision of the world
I can see the dark side of life
This way I can revive

I used to believe in
Human kindness
I've finally
Regained consciousness
