Unwanted Dearly

Joanna Lero

Let the waves take the salt of my skin
I listen to them they call
Now let me learn the other world's languages
Set new order of letters in my mind

Now we talk of pains unspoken
Waves caress like smoke in the air
but all over the body
And I don't wanna go

Water fills my lungs are swimming
Waves embark on the eyes of green land
and now that we're falling
I catch up with life again

What a beautiful light
Why are you so mad
Oh you see I'm happy now
A ray of blue cut through the black
Why are you so mad

Blue eyes of water blink on what you think is odd
Blue eyes of water chill the thoughts of going under more

And now when my dreams come true
I feel the urge to drink some fuel
And wake up again and think of The Wish all day
But now it's done
and you fall and you call
and you see how some longings
should stay on your wishlist

I tried so many times to go back
For a fresh air gulp that states to be mine
Now can you hear?
The bells are calling you
Evenly, steadily
As I heard the waves rushing through my veins
