Infected Rain

Promise

Infected Rain

What a meaningful and powerful word
What a small but disturbing boundary
You say it, you feel it, you mean it for real
You lose it, you break it, it is not a big deal

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blaming you
It is hard to always hang on to the truth
Hard to see the weed in a thousand roses
Hard to find the leak in an old rotten hoses

We are all different but we are all the same
Lying comes natural there is no one to blame
Breaking a promise seems so easy and harmless
But a small little lie can take you into a deep darkness

A darkness of fear and insecurities
A thick mist of missed opportunities
Doubts like an incurable virus
Will drag you in the whirlpool of chaos

Remember the weed can grow big and fast
The roses can vanish in this wild, messy blast
A small little leak can cause a disaster
It can destroy the foundation of a beautiful castle

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blaming you
It is hard to always hang on to the truth
Hard to see the weed in a thousand roses
Hard to find the leak in an old rusty hoses

We are all different but we are all the same
Lying comes natural there is no one to blame
Breaking a promise seems so easy and harmless
But a small little lie can take you into a deep darkness

A darkness of fear and insecurities
A thick mist of missed opportunities
Doubts like an incurable virus
Will drag you in the whirlpool of chaos

Feel the priorities
A promise is something you make to yourself
Feel the priorities
Get back on the trail before it’s too late

You say it, you feel it, you mean it for real
You lose it, you break it, it is not a big deal
