Fast Asleep

when the night comes 
polar bear cubs sleep in
their caves 
calves on the farm sleep in the barn
warm in the hay 
nothing in this world is quite
as sweet 
as a tiny baby fast asleep

watch you to the end of time

kittens and pups eyes all

snuggle near mom 
robin's and wren's
