Grave Forsaken

Wasting Power

Grave Forsaken

Oh man, here we go again
Another day of work
All I do is get fat
Just gonna die anyway
Why do I even bother
Oh man, who's going to help me out of this mess

Disease cripples us, sickness weakens us
Every day we die while you grow
We don't have a choice in this sickened world
Force fed everything that we know

Bodies hang from golden arches
Dynamic ribbon rots the brain
Microsoftening our senses
The big blue world has gone insane
Mass producing even churches
Watering down that little faith
We are woebegone and wretched
Stuffed to death for money's sake

The price of vegetables escalates, takeaway food becomes a staple
Have you had your three burgers and fries today
Health care systems overloaded, unable to stem a tide of fat
Hospital cases are being turned away
Pathetic workforce no match for machines
Give that dude an energy drink
We can't afford to have him nodding off
We'll never meet the order for these TV dinners, move, move, move

Wasting power
Corporations taking hold
Fuelling fire
Do exactly what you're told
Wasting power
You deprive us of our life
Economics
Holding us against the knife

Overworked and underpaid
Mr Average can't keep up
Just too tired to be cooking
Once again we'll order junk
Happy tastebuds numb the pain
For a moment nothing more
Off to bed and in the morning
Grind against the stone once more

Planet Earth has lost the plot
Languising in apathy
We have turned our backs on God
Living for this junk we eat
None of this stuff even matters
All will turn to dust in time
Worthless money cannot help us
Only God renews the mind

Only God renews the mind
