Old man winter came up to my house Late last night He carved his name with his fingernails All up and down the siding Will you walk with me downtown I won't make it on my own no no That's what everyone has told me So it must be true I went and sat by the fireplace But the flames were colder than the snow So i knit a sweater from icicles I'll give it to you you can wear it when i get cold The birds have all flown south again & so have you you gone right along with them The animals sleep in their caves There's no one left but me & that cold wind
