Fall To Prey

Cancer Of The Mind's Eye

Fall To Prey

Disorient the whirlwind, remove the color from within
The feasts of lines contort and bend as the await my dismay
Sirens blare, music shrewd, all fingers pointing at me
Sulfuric blood strokes the flame, risen to hear and here to stay

A furry born young and strong, harbored away three grievous days
Anesthetized by the capsules forced from palm into my mouth
The fire dies not but just awaits, till freedom comes through the gates
Liberated at last and oh so great, to feast on the air of open wounds

This frame of mind, stuck in rewind, never played so why was it made
Cancer of the minds eye, diagnosed but with no cure
Subordination to anomie, orthodox, ears sewn shut
Tamed by tick, taught by tock, fall in love where belonged

The drinks were poured, the bottles emptied, all is fair when freedom is promised
A belligerent tongue all but snapped, my cave wide open for all to hear
The jokers laughed, the players played, in the climax, all was unmade
Once again, my freedom was lost, i never learned, i never will

Shredded by light, consumed in darkness
Wounds wide open, the blood runs thick, the pain will sway remembered by scars
Senses failed and disembarked, a world so cold, sealed by fate
Reason fades a waste of days, cancer born in minds eye

Desensitized on the winds of winters that have come and passed
Disorganized, fed the lies, sent to silence the whored mass
Infected with a fool to plague the millions of new bred tools
Killed by this, killed by that, fear not this but just the thought

Dawned upon by the end, hidden in shadows my lonely friend
A glimpse of future, a plague of past, buried deep within this mask
Lies of lies, paper cut eyes, the stones don't change but rearrange
Cancer minds, deceived by time, destroyed our lives, this is the end
