The Journey

Defender

The shadows growing longer now
everytime I try to run
The heart is beating slower by day
a lost fight against the sun

It's the heat of the day
and I feel cold to the bone

But all I wanted to see behind my face
is that it was me a big disgrace
I'm scared to open the unlocked door
it was a life I can't take anymore

For it is a sharpened piece of steel
that stops you from breathing
When you're looking back it was for real
it was a life of the dreaming

For it is, it will be
Now it's over, now it was me

But all I wanted to see behind my face
is that it was me a big disgrace
I'm scared to open the unlocked door
it was a life I can't take anymore

Once every journey must end
I say goodbye to you my friend
No more tomorrow not even today
Only this question: will I eternal lay?
