I have seen the face of poverty, I've walked the city streets I have tread upon the mountain tops and I've heard the children weep I have stood on the outside with those who are looking in Waiting for their day the day I have felt the healing in my hands as tears burn down my cheeks I have felt the Spirit's touch on me as I reach those in need I am standing on the outside with those who are looking in And I say your day will come Yes, I say your day has come There is hope, there is healing, there is freedom in this life For the day of Jubilation has arrived Though the night is filled with weeping there will come the sounds of joy In the morning when justice shines
