Surely

Coppelius

When she walked in, she shone like a star
No wonder she makes you forget, where you are
To tell you of that goddes is my duty
No rose or swan could match her beauty
I knew as time went by she'd be gone
When I see her I know, life goes on and on

Surely I cannot live like a monk
But to do her, I was just too drunk

She could make the mountains shake
And every sleeping flower awake
When she spoke to me it felt like a breeze
That gently blows in spring through trees
I can't recall what she said, my blood started to run
But the look in her eyes said you're the chosen one
I tried to answer it took me a while
But what I said chased away her smile

Surely I cannot live like a monk
But to do her, I was just too drunk

With a very hard slap that shattered my face
I knew soon she'd be on the next one's trace
When I think of the pain my eyes open wide
I'm glad no one saw, how bad I cried
