Nine to Five Freakshow

Cauda Pavonis

We are the nine to five freakshow
Waiting our moment and biding our time
We are the nine to five freakshow
The ones who stand out when they all stand in line

Grinding Monday morning, taken one too far
At the mercy of people who just don't care what you are
Private secrets from a real life keep the boredom at bay
They find us it's enthralling, we find them appalling, and they are the ones who will pay

We are never in fashion; we are always in vogue
We are willful & wayward, renegade, rebel and rogue
Pandering to the unpainted, watching them get a cheap thrill
We are so pretty we don't need your pity, it's just underdressed overkill

Let them try for impressive, we remain unimpressed
We can tell how they're feeling by the way that they're dressed
They don't understand elegant, they just don't understand
It's not how we speak that makes us unique it's the way that we know they're damned
